As the world increasingly embraces emerging technologies like AI and machine learning, we often times forget to remember those who helped invent the know-how that is driving our digital transformation. The UK will roll-out the new £50 note featuring Dr. Alan Turing widely considered to be one of the forefathers of AI.

Dr. Turing was also famous for his work on cryptography. So one could say that UK’s new £50 note is the world’s first fiat “cryptocurrency”.
